Al Sailiya coach Majdi Siddiq spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 8 match against Lusail.

“I have succeeded coach Mirghani Al Zain, who delivered impressive performances over many years. I am proud to have served as his assistant, benefiting from his technical expertise during that period.

“We face a difficult match against Lusail. They are an organized, tenacious side with talented players, which demands our full focus and complete readiness.

“I am not asking the players to exceed their own capabilities, but rather to perform at their absolute best on the pitch, while working to correct past errors and achieve tactical balance by maintaining a defensive mindset during attacks and an attacking mindset during defence,” said Majdi.

Al Sailiya player Abdulrahman Mohammed said, “The match against Lusail represents a fresh start for the team under the leadership of coach Majdi Siddiq. The players have a strong desire to deliver a high-quality performance and secure a positive result.”
