Al Rayyan coach Vicente Moreno spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 8 match against Al Arabi.

“It is only natural that we aim to compete in major tournaments, which entails playing many matches throughout the season. I do not wish to make any excuses; we are prepared to play against Al Arabi. Our players have worked exceptionally well over the past two days and we are ready for tomorrow’s encounter.

“I am certain that this match will be entirely different as every game has its own unique circumstances, and every season differs from the last. Al Arabi are currently having an excellent season. It is quite clear to me that if we want to win tomorrow, we must perform at our absolute best. I truly hope we secure the victory as I know how significant this match is to our fans. I want us to win for their sake tomorrow,” said Moreno.

Al Rayyan player Daouda Diakite said, “The entire squad is prepared for the derby against Al Arabi. We are all well aware that this is a major derby. God- willing, we will achieve the most important objective: securing all three points.”
