Al Shamal coach David Prats spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 7 match against Qatar SC.

“We expect a difficult game. Qatar SC have good players with strong individual capabilities. While they may not be in their best form right now, that only makes the encounter tougher as they will be highly motivated to bounce back.

“We are aware of their strengths, but we are entering this match with the sole objective of winning, while, of course, maintaining full respect for our opponents. We need to play with the same identity we displayed in our last two matches. We were very close to winning those, but what we lacked was clinical efficiency in front of the opponents’ goal,” said Prats.

Al Shamal goalkeeper Babacar Seck said, “A tough challenge awaits us against a very good side that features high-calibre, experienced players. At the same time, we are also a strong team with excellent players.

“We are prepared for the match and are aiming for the win and all three points, so that we can return to winning ways and get back on the right track.”
