Al Wakrah coach Luis Sierra spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 8 match against Al Duhail.

“Preparations for this encounter have not differed much from those for previous matches. This week, we had more time to focus on getting some of our players back to full fitness. Overall, things are going well and we are continuing along much the same path we have followed over the last few weeks.

“We aim to keep delivering the same positive results we achieved in our last three matches. While our start to the season was difficult, I believe the team has successfully regained its balance,” said Luis Sierra.

Al Wakrah goalkeeper Omair Al Sayed said, “The team’s preparations for the eighth-round clash against Al Duhail in the Doha Bank Stars League was good, the squad is maintaining a high level of focus to overcome this challenging hurdle.

“We always strive to implement the coach’s tactics and fight throughout the entire match to live up to our responsibilities. We know that Al Duhail are a strong side, but we possess the determination required to secure a positive result that aligns with our ambitions.”
