Al Sailiya face reigning champions Al Sadd in Week 12 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 18:20 at the Qatar SC Stadium on Monday, 3rd January, 2022.

Al Sailiya, coached by Tunisian Sami Trabelsi, fell into deep trouble following their 0-3 loss to Al Gharafa in Week 11 that saw them slip from 11th spot to rock bottom of the table with five points (one victory, two draws and eight defeats).

The Peregrines have a goal difference of -15 (six goals for and 21 against).

Al Sadd, who top the table with 28 points with an unbeaten record, were not in action in the last round as their match against Al Wakrah was postponed to a later date as many Al Wakrah players got infected with the coronavirus.

Al Sadd had beaten Al Khor 3-0 in Week 10 to record their ninth victory, in their first match under the tutelage of Spaniard Javi Gracia. They have a goal difference of +25 (39 goals for and 14 against).

The only time The Wolves dropped points was when they were held 3-3 by Al Duhail in Week 9.

Al Sadd have many players of high calibre.

Al Sailiya too have the likes of Claude Amine, Majdi Siddiq, Serigne Mbodji, Driss Fettouhi, Ramin Rezaien and Mohammed Salah El Neel.
