Al Duhail coach Djamel Belmadi spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 10 match against Al Ahli.

“The upcoming match against Al Ahli is a pivotal moment for the team to get back on track and return to their expected level of performance.

“The team needs to put the past behind them and focus on the future. The inconsistent performance in the Al Sailiya match was a result of a lapse in concentration and squandering periods of dominance.

“The recent break was both beneficial and detrimental due to the absence of half the squad because of international commitments and injuries. However, the group continued working during the break and delivered strong performances,” said Belmadi.

Al Duhail striker Adil Boulbina said, “It is important to win the match to revive the team’s title hopes. The return of international players will give the team a significant boost.

“The current league position ‘does not reflect the club’s potential’ and Al Duhail will fight to return to our rightful place.”
