Al Wakrah coach Vicente Moreno spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 10 match against Al Gharafa.

“Everyone knows how strong Al Gharafa are, currently leading the league standings. This match will be against an excellent team with very good players and a very good coach. Despite recognizing the strength of our opponents, we also understand that one of the most important things for us is to focus on ourselves because we have very good players.

“My message to my players is to play with complete confidence. I reiterate that we have very good players and if we perform at our usual level, we will be able to win against the best teams in the league,” said Moreno.

Al Wakrah player Fahad Waad said, “I am hopeful that we will overcome Al Gharafa in the 10th round and return to winning ways.

“We have an important and difficult match ahead of us against Al Gharafa, who are currently leading the league standings. Although we are aware of the importance of this match, preparations for it have proceeded in a normal manner, like all matches.”
