Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 10 match against Al Wakrah.
“We had a 15-day break, during which some players were away on international duty. However, our training sessions saw the participation of some young players, as well as some who played for Qatar in the Under-17 World Cup.
“This is a good thing, as we have players who are constantly striving to improve their skills. On the other hand, the team is still missing some players. Joselu and Al Janahi will be unavailable due to injury, and Al Saai and Andre are still out. Furthermore, South Korean Jang is suspended after receiving a red card in the last match.
“I know how Al Wakrah play and am aware of their strengths and weaknesses, making it a tough match,” said Martins.
Al Gharafa player Amro Seraj said, “Al Wakrah have some big names and are a strong team. The players will be fully focused and their goal is to maintain their position at the top of the table.”
