Al Arabi coach Heimir Hallgrimsson spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 19 match against Al Gharafa.

“Our goal against Al Gharafa is victory. Our preparations over the past two weeks went off well and I hope all our players would be ready for the game.

“Al Gharafa are a side with great potential, especially on the individual players’ front. They played in the AFC Champions League last season even though they lost out in play-off this time around.

“Their current standing (ninth) and results do not reflect their potential. They have many outstanding players in their ranks.

“Our victory over Al Sailiya in the last game was commendable. We must always play to achieve a certain goal and we try to reach the top four. It will all depend on our performance in the last four rounds.

“We now have an opportunity to be among the elite group of teams. We are now focusing on our performance rather than the results of other teams.

“(Wilfried) Bony is a great player. He has already scored four goals from three games. He is a player who gives his team-mates great confidence. We are also keen on reducing the number of goals we concede,” said Hallgrimsson.
