Saturday, 19th October, 2019

19:35 kick-off at Al Ahli Stadium

Al Ahli meet Al Shahania in Week 7 of the 2019-20 QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 19:35 at the Al Ahli Stadium on Saturday, 19th October, 2019.

Al Ahli, coached by Spaniard Ruben de la Barrera, would look to keep winning as they beat Qatar SC 2-0 in Week 6. It was a great consolation for The Brigadiers, who suffered back-to-back defeats, against Al Gharafa and Al Rayyan, both by a 1-3 margin.

Al Ahli are currently sixth with nine points (three victories and as many losses). They have a goal difference of 0 (11 goals for and as many against).

Al Ahli will also be keen to barge into the top-four bracket, so they will look for nothing less than a victory.

Al Shahania, on the other hand, are struggling to stay afloat. They have just a point that they earned from their 1-1 draw with Umm Salal in Week 6 and are lying at the bottom of the table.

Jose Murcia’s men lost the other five matches to have a goal difference of -13 (three goals for and 16 against).

Al Ahli have a strong squad that includes Nabil El Zahr, Mohamed Diame, Abel Mathias and Hernan Perez.

Al Shahania have the likes of Dutchman Nigel de Jong, Iranian Ramin Rezaeian, Kesse Amangoua and Ali Ferydoon.

In the Ooredoo Cup first round last week, Al Ahli beat Umm Salal 2-0, while Al Shahania lost 0-3 to Al Rayyan.
