<p>Al Sadd will look to regain the lost ground when they take on Umm Salal in Week 11 of the QNB Stars League on Friday, 2nd November. The kick-off is at 19:25 at the Al Gharafa Stadium.</p><p>Al Sadd had suffered a 1-4 defeat at the hands of Al Ahli last week and that dealt a serious blow to their hopes of regaining the league shield. In the process, The Wolves had slipped from second to third in the table.</p><p>Al Sadd have 17 points from eight games with five wins, two draws and one defeat. They have a goal difference of +25, the most by any team, having scored 33 goals and conceded eight.</p><p>Against Al Ahli, Al Sadd players were seemingly tired psychologically as they had yet to recover from their defeat to Iran’s Persepolis in the AFC Champions League semifinal.</p><p>After 10 rounds of matches, Al Sadd have the advantage of having played two games less due to their AFC Champions League engagements.</p><p>Tournament top scorer and Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah leads Al Sadd’s charge. They also boast of players like Hassan Al Haydous, Akram Afif, Xavi Hernandez and Gabi Fernandez.</p><p>Umm Salal are placed fifth with 15 points. They have four wins, three draws and as many defeats against them. The Orange Fortress’ goal difference is -1 (15 goals for and 16 against).</p><p>Yannick Sagbo, Mahmoud Al Mawas and Dheyab Al Inabi mainly lead Umm Salal’s charge.</p>
