<p>Two second-half goals lifted Al Rayyan to a 2-1 win over Al Sailiya in Week 10 of the QNB Stars League at the Al Ahli Stadium on Thursday.</p><p>Sebastian Soria (71st) and Rodrigo Tabata (82nd) scored the goals for Al Rayyan after Al Sailiya’s Abdulqadir Ilyas had found the net close to the first-half whistle.</p><p>In the 15th minute, Al Rayyan’s Brazilian forward Lucca Borges outran his marker and charged towards the Al Sailiya box. Right on the edge of the box, he unleashed a powerful shot that was smartly saved by Al Sailiya goalkeeper Saoud Al Khater.</p><p>In the 34th minute, Al Sailiya’s Rashid Al Rashdi fired a bullet from close range, but Al Rayyan’s Dame Traore was quick to block the shot by turning his back to the threat.</p><p>Lucca then produced a snap-header following an accurate cross from Masoud on the left flank, but the ball sailed past the Al Sailiya goalpost.</p><p>A minute before injury time, Ilyas scored for Al Sailiya after picking up a cross from the centre of the field. Despite being given chase by defender Traore, he trapped the ball close to himself before firing it past keeper Omar Barry.</p><p>Soria, after receiving a cross on the edge of the box, chipped one above the head level of three Al Sailiya players, but his shot narrowly missed the far goalpost.</p><p>After numerous attempts at goal, Soria headed the ball into the net off a long cross from the flank with an airborne dive to meet the ball.</p><p>With momentum on their side, Al Rayyan scored the second goal as Tabata tapped the ball into the net from close range following a cross from Lucca standing nearby.</p><p>Tabata’s fourth goal of the season turned out to be the winner for Al Rayyan.</p>
