Al Rayyan's Under-23 coach Gilson Souza spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 10 match against Al Sailiya.

“We look forward to beating Al Sailiya and garner three vital points. However, our preparations suffered a blow as we will miss the services of two players — Gonzalo Vieira and Koh Myong-Jin due to injuries.

“Al Sailiya are a team we must be wary of. They are in a strong position (third) in the QNB Stars League. They had lost to Al Shahania in the last round, so we expect a strong reaction from them. Also, they will be keen to put up a strong performance against us as we both are in the top-four bracket of QNB Stars League standings.,

“In the last game, we were better than Al Gharafa and we made many opportunities that we did not take advantage of. Although we have suffered a lot from injuries, we asked the players to be prepared to do their best in this game.

“The ambition of any team to win the league. We will do our best till the end of the season,” said Souza.
