Al Shamal coach David Prats spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Jetour League Week 2 match against Al Gharafa.

“We are expecting a tough match against a formidable team like Al Gharafa, which will require a hard-fought effort from us to achieve the best possible result. We are aware of Al Gharafa’s strength and know that facing them will not be easy, especially since they are a strong team with a distinguished group of players.

“It is almost the same core group of players they have fielded for the past two seasons, and they are also the reigning Amir Cup champions,” said Prats.

Al Shamal player Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane said, “Of course, facing a team of Al Gharafa’s caliber will not be easy, but we are ready to play with full force.

“We respect Al Gharafa. They are a strong team with outstanding players who possess immense talent and experience. They will also be entering the match with high morale after their victory in the first round of league.”
