Both teams had settled for draws in the previous round, with Al Shamal being held to a goalless stalemate by Lusail and Qatar SC playing out a 2-2 draw against Al Sailiya. The encounter presents both sides with an opportunity to claim all three points and improve their position.

Al Shamal, currently fifth with nine points, will look to capitalise on their squad’s potential to secure a victory and move higher in the standings.

Qatar SC, meanwhile, face a pressing need for a positive result. The Kings sit 11th with three points and will be determined to climb away from the lower end of table with a much-needed win.
