Al Shamal and Al Wakrah shared a 1-1 draw in Week 4 of 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Al Bayt Stadium on Thursday.

The shared spoils meant that Al Shamal moved up a point to a tally of eight points, while Al Wakrah inched ahead to two points.

Al Shamal had taken the lead in the 26th minute, with Pablo Mari making a perfect jump to connect a fine header off a corner kick from Mohamed Ben Ramadan.

Al Wakrah equalized in 45+1 minute as Aissa Laidouni lunged to kick in the ball after Al Shamal goalkeeper Babacar Seck had made a block to an attempt from Ayoub Assal.

Both sides had some good chances towards the end, but failed to break the deadlock.

In stoppage time (90+4 minute), Baghdad Bounedjah’s header for Al Shamal cut diagonally and towards the right corner post but only to miss the post by a whisker.

Soon after the final whistle, Bounedjah was flashed with a red card for his protests by referee Mohammed Ahmed Al Shammari.
