Al Sadd maintained their perfect start to the 2026-2027 Doha Bank Stars League season with a 6-3 victory over Al Sailiya in Week 4 at Lusail Stadium on Thursday.

Akram Afif and Roberto Firmino scored twice each as The Wolves extended their winning run to four matches, taking their tally to 12 points at the top of standings. Al Sailiya remained without a point after four defeats.

Afif broke the deadlock in the 19th minute with a right-footed strike from inside the box.

Ali Olwan levelled for Al Sailiya in the 35th minute with a clever lob over Saad Al Sheeb. The goal was awarded after a VAR review.

Hashim Ali restored Al Sadd’s lead just before half-time before Firmino converted a penalty five minutes after the restart.

Ahmed Doozandeh reduced the deficit in the 58th minute, but Firmino struck again four minutes later. Afif added his second in the 75th minute.

Mostafa Mashaal made it 6-2 in stoppage time before Olwan scored his second moments before the final whistle.
