Al Arabi coach Heimir Hallgrimsson spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 18 match against Al Sailiya.

“We had analysed Al Sailiya, a team with great tactical ability and stability they achieved under coach Sami Trabelsi. This is going to be a strong test for our team. We are better off now playing every week.

“I took over the side to contribute to the development of the team and we certainly want to win every game. It will also be a good preparation for the next season and we will give opportunity to young players in the days ahead.

“The distance from the top-four bracket is not much of a concern for us. As I mentioned, there are greater goals for our team — preparing a strong squad for the next season.

"There is much difference between our team and Al Sadd and Al Duhail, and that is normal. We are now working on our areas for improvement,” said Hallgrimsson.
