<p>Top QNB Stars League side Al Rayyan confirmed that Khalfan Ibrahim suffered a partial injury to the inner ligament of his knee during their match against Al Sailiya in the fourth round of QSL Cup on 20th December.</p><p>Khalfan, who underwent a medical examination at Aspetar, has to undergo an intensive rehabilitation programme before returning to action.</p><p>The team’s technical staff have given the players rest for several days before they play their QSL Cup Round 5 game against Al Khor on 11th January.</p><p>Al Rayyan had qualified for the QSL Cup quarterfinals after beating Al Sailiya 4-0. They are leading Group B with 12 points.</p><p>The QNB Stars League will resume after the Asian Cup in the UAE (5th January to 1st February).</p>
