Al Gharafa coach Christian Gourcuff spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 3 match against Al Sadd.
“I had watched Al Sadd’s game against Al Arabi. I know how difficult it is going to be against Al Sadd. Our job is to prepare the team with the highest level of concentration. We need to stay focused and have confidence in ourselves.
“After seeing such a good performance, you tend to worry about your rivals. But you should transform the next moment, taking that as a motivation to push your players to be ready to bring out their best.
“We normally play to win. At the same time, we also encourage our players to play good football. Hopefully, all our injured players would come back soon, so that we can have our full team.
“It’s good that we are playing Al Sadd after our victory against Al Sailiya. Those three points have done us a lot of good in terms of confidence.
“However, we do not have the services of two key players – Khaled Abdurauf and Abdelaziz Hatem – due to injuries against Al Sadd. But we will try our best to find the best solutions to their absence,” said Gourcuff.
