QSL side Umm Salal has confirmed the signing of Qatari defender Rami Fayez on a one-year deal. The 30-year-old defender joins the Orange Fortress for the 2017/2018 season after playing for Al Arabi and Al Sailiya in the 2016/2017 season.

Rami Fayez will be playing on the left-hand side of the Umm Salal Defensive line. It has been a busy season for Umm Salal who are pushing for a top four finish in the upcoming season after finishing sixth last season. So far, they have renewed the contract of head coach Mahmoud Jaber, and have signed Muhannad Dergal, Nasser Nabil, Khaled Zekeba and Rami Fayez.
