“Rayyan are coming from the second division and they have a big ambition to do something good this year. They have good players, both professional and local. As the first game of the new season, we have to be careful against them. We wish Rayyan success but after our match of course.”

“It's important to get a winning start. We didn't win the first few games last season and suffered a lot because of that. So now this is the first step for us in this new season and therefore it's a very important game. We will also be looking to get off to a winning start.”

“People like to compare us with other big teams. It's unfair to compare us with teams like Lekhwiya, Rayyan, Jaish and other such teams. We don't have the depth that they have. We are trying to use our youth system to help us. We will try to do better this season. This year our professional players are better than before. When Ricardo Costa left last season it put us in a big problem. We must play well and with a big heart and big motivation and if we do that then I think we can do better than the previous two seasons.”
