
Al Sadd’s Baghdad Bounedjah has been adjudged the QNB Stars League’s best player for the month of August, 2018.
Bounedjah scored 11 goals from four matches during the term, playing a crucial role in Al Sadd topping the top scorers’ chart. The Algerian had netted a hat-trick in The Wolves’ 6-0 victory over Al Kharaitiyat in the opening week.
He then contributed seven goals to their 10-1 win over Al Arabi. The striker had one assist as well during the month.
Bounedjah also struck a brace against Iran’s Esteghlal in their AFC Champions League quarterfinal first-leg tie at the Azadi Stadium in Tehran on 27th August and they are almost in the semifinals ahead of the second leg in Doha on 17th September.
The technical analysis of Bounedjah released by STATS, the official statistics and figures provider for the QNB Stars League, showed he spent 374.1 minutes on the pitch. He made an average of 24.8 passes, of which 16.6 were successful. He scored all his goals from inside the box.
