After a subdued first session, Uruguayan midfielder Diaz lit up the proceedings with a fabulous strike from outside the box after being set up by Amro Surag.

Al Shamal equalized soon as Omar seized chance off a defender’s rebound off Wesley Said’s kick to deposit the ball into the right top corner.

Al Shamal got into the lead just at the end of regulation time, with Ali Asad flicking in a fine Omar cross – provided from left of the six-yard box.

There was more delight for Al Shamal in dying seconds of stoppage time as on a counter, Bounedjah sailed his kick over Al Gharafa keeper Khalifa Ndiaye, who was already over 10 yards outside the box.
