Al Sadd coach Razvan Lucescu spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 2 match against Qatar SC.

“The next match is always important because our goal is to secure the three points. It is made even more difficult because one of the characteristics of this league is that any team can beat any other team in any match. Therefore, we must be fully prepared, maintain the highest level of focus and give our all from the first whistle to the last.

“The victory against Al Ahli is now in the past. We must draw confidence from that match and realize that we are on the right track. At the same time, we must forget that first win because Friday’s match will be completely different,” said Lucescu.

Al Sadd player Agustin Soria said, “We started our journey in the tournament with a victory, but that is now in the past. We have a very important match ahead of us against Qatar SC and it will be a very difficult encounter, but we are working hard to get the three points.”
