Al Waab coach Danny spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Jetour League Week 1 match against Al Rayyan NextGen.

“We had prepared well through our training camp in Turkey and several friendly matches in Doha. The team's mentality is always based on playing to win. Al Waab is working on building a competitive team, given the exceptional potential of the new players and the strong team spirit within the group. We have the players’ physical and tactical readiness,” said Danny.

Al Waab captain Diego said, “The players are fully focused, given the importance of the preparation period and the overseas training camp. The team aims to deliver a strong performance and achieve a positive result at the start of their campaign in the tournament.”
