Al Arabi defeated Umm Salal 4-2 in Week 14 of 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Al Khor Stadium on Thursday.
Pablo Sarabia opened the scoring from the penalty spot for Al Arabi in the 38th minute after Abdulrahman Fayez was given the marching orders for a foul.
Al Arabi capitalised on their numerical advantage after the break as an own goal from Jean-Eudes Aholou in the 48th minute doubled the lead for The Dream Team, followed by strikes from Karl Toko Ekambi (58th minute) and Isaac Lihadji (62nd minute) to make it 4-0.
Naim Laidouni pulled one back for the hosts in the 69th minute, while Al Arabi were also reduced to 10 men in the 75th minute when Al Hashmi Al Hussain’s initially awarded yellow card was upgraded to a red after a VAR review.
Umm Salal reduced the deficit to two in the 88th minute through Antonio Mance with a brilliant header and the Croatian international would have added one more in three minutes of added time had his penalty kick not stopped by goalkeeper Jasem Al Hail.
The results ensured Al Arabi moved to 23 points, while bottom-placed Umm Salal remained on nine points.
