Mancini began his coaching career in early 2000s, proving his high level of competence and achieving great success with the clubs he managed, most notably Lazio and Fiorentina. He also guided Inter Milan to three consecutive Serie A titles.
He managed Manchester City from 2010 to 2013, winning the Premier League title in 2012 after a 44-year drought for the club.
He started his Italy coaching career in 2018, leading them to a historic triumph in the UEFA European Championship (Euro 2020). He also coached the Saudi Arabian national team in 2023.
During his playing days, Mancini was a forward/attacking midfielder and was distinguished by his intelligence on the field and his distinctive technical vision. He mostly played for Sampdoria and also represented Lazio (1997-2000), winning several championships with them, including the Italian League and European Cup Winners’ Cup.
