Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli were back to winning as they notched a 4-0 win against Al Gharafa in 2025-2026 AFC Champions League Elite Round 3 in Jeddah on Monday.
Held to a 2-2 draw by Qatar’s Al Duhail SC on Matchday Two, Al Ahli got three goals within nine minutes that helped see the reigning champions clinch victory and move to seven points with Al Gharafa four adrift after suffering their second defeat.
Al Gharafa, despite being the visitors, took the game to Al Ahli, with Joselu flashing a half volley wide before Ferjani Sassi’s backheel pass sent Yacine Brahimi through with Enzo Millot tracking back to stop the midfielder.
Later, Millot’s brilliant strike in the 32nd minute broke the deadlock and a Franck Kessie brace (38th and 41st minutes) made it 3-0 ahead of the break.
Waheb Saleh scored in the 76th minute to make it 4-0 in the hosts’ favour.
