Al Wakrah coach Vicente Moreno spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 4 match against Al Ahli.

“We prepared well for the match. We knew we were going to play against a very good team, with good players and a good coach. I believe last season was a good one for Al Ahli.

“We had little time to prepare, in addition to the absence of several players due to international commitments. But, as I always say, I have a lot of confidence in the players and I know that when we play and know what we are doing, we will win,” said Moreno.

Al Wakrah player Aissa Laidouni said, “Al Ahli are a very good team with good players and we must be fully focused and continue working to achieve a satisfactory result.

“It will be a difficult match and we need to work hard in the midfield. The team in general is ready for the match as we have prepared for it.”
