Al Ahli coach Igor Biscan spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 1 match against Al Shamal.

“Al Ahli had a good time last season and appeared in a way that satisfied our fans, but that is now in the past, and the team must start its new season in a way that satisfies the club’s fans.

“The start of the season is always difficult for all clubs for several reasons, but Al Ahli, like the rest of the teams, prepared well during our overseas training camp to become more prepared as time goes on and the competition advances.

“The match against Al Shamal will not be easy, given the strength of the opponents. At the same time, the team’s ambition is to perform well and appear in the best possible way from the start in order to continue its competitive streak,” said Biscan.

Al Ahli goalkeeper Marwan Sherif said, “The players are looking forward to a great season in the league. Our goal is to perform well and take each match as it comes.

“We are well aware of the strength of the competition. The Al Shamal team performed exceptionally well last season, but we will do our utmost to ensure the team has a strong start this year.”
