Al Sailiya coach Mirghani Al Zain spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 1 match against Al Rayyan.

“The team has completed preparations for the start of the new season of Doha Bank Stars League. Preparations have been successful.

“Our preparations are good and we aspire to present an image that reflects the team’s ability to compete this season. We will face the great Al Rayyan team, with its experience and championships. We realize that the match will not be easy, but we will strive to deliver a performance worthy of Al Sailiya club.

“We have worked to raise the average age of the players through highly experienced local recruits, in addition to contracting with foreign professionals capable of raising the team’s technical level. We are confident that the current group of players will achieve the required harmony during the season,” said Mirghani.

Al Sailiya captain Mohamed Benyettou said, “Al Sailiya enter the new season with great ambitions. We aspire to perform in a manner befitting Al Sailiya club. The match against Al Rayyan will be difficult, but we are ready to utilize our chances from the first match. Our return to the First Division represents a new phase in the club’s history.”
