Last season’s runners-up Al Duhail will kick off their new 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League campaign against Al Shahania at the Khalifa International Stadium on Saturday, August 16, 2025. The kick-off is at 6.30pm.

The match holds significant importance for both teams as Al Duhail aim to launch their season on a high note, while Al Shahania are striving to secure a robust beginning.

Under the guidance of coach Djamel Belmadi, Al Duhail have made notable acquisitions this summer, which include Polish player Krzysztof Piatek, Italian Marco Verratti, Cameroonian Jean-Charles Castelletto, Brazilian Tuta, Algerian Adil Boulbina and Senegalese Youssouf Sabaly.

Al Duhail had faced Iranian side Sepahan in the preliminary round of the 2025-2026 AFC Champions League.
