Al Shahania assistant coach Pejman Montazeri spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 22 match against Al Gharafa.

“We are returning to the league with a tough and important match after the break. We used the break to prepare the team for the final step in this long marathon of matches and commitments. We are facing Al Gharafa in this final round and they are a good and distinguished team. The match is important for both teams and we will fight for our chances.

“When we play important matches like this one, the players are fully aware of the situation. In the world of coaching, players do not need special preparation so that we do not get carried away with excessive psychological preparation and pressure,” said Montazeri.

Al Shahania player Mohammed Bader Sayyar said, “These preparations are extremely important. We are well aware of the current situation, our position in the league standings and it is undoubtedly a final for us. However, it is not the first final we have played; all our previous matches have been like finals.”
