Al Arabi coach Cosmin Contra spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 1 match against Al Shamal.

“The intensive preparation period and the overseas training camp have put the team in top physical and technical conditions, enabling it to enter the Doha Bank Stars League with complete focus,” said Cosmin.

Al Arabi player Pablo Sarabia said, “It is important to have a strong start to the new season, the team aims to build on the stability and harmony established among the players since last season, which was further strengthened by the intensive work during the overseas training camp.

“The players are well aware of the responsibility placed upon them and the match against Al Shamal requires double efforts to secure the three points as a first step on a long road that demands patience and perseverance.”
