Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 1 match against Al Shahania.

“In general, I can say that we are ready, and all our players, including the young players who have joined the team, are familiar with our methods and playing style. We are excited to start the season on Friday against Al Shahania in what will be a tough match, and of course, we will go into it aiming for victory,” said Martins.

Al Gharafa player Rayyan Al Ali said, “The team’s preparations for the match went off well over three weeks in a training camp in Slovakia, which continued in the final week in Doha. I am personally ready for the match. The level of Al Shahania is good, they have good players.”
