Al Sailiya coach Mirghani Al Zain spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 5 match against Al Ahli.

“The team benefited significantly from the break by playing four friendly matches aimed at preparing as many players as possible, rectifying errors, and elevating the technical performance.

“The players demonstrated great discipline and a genuine desire to improve, particularly regarding tactics and on-field organization, which has positively impacted the team’s readiness.

“Al Ahli are a strong, experienced team, and we are well aware of the challenge ahead. However, we possess the readiness and motivation to deliver the required performance and we will enter the match aiming to secure the points and achieve a positive result,” said Mirghani.

Al Sailiya player Abdulaziz Metwali said, “The team used the break to address weaknesses and correct errors observed in previous matches. Recent preparations have had a positive effect on our performance.

“We aspire for the match against Al Ahli to be the gateway to our first league victory and the start of a real push forward for the team in the upcoming phase.”
