The Blue Wave twice took the lead but ended up being defeated by the Second Division side who got their goals through Idrissa Thiam (42nd minute), Massil Adjaoudi (67th minute penalty) and Youssef Dhaflaoui (74th minute).

Both Al Wakrah’s goals, however, came through the boots of Raul de Tomas who opened the scoring in the 21st minute before securing his second of the night in four minutes of added time in the first half.
