Al Markhiya notched their maiden win beating Al Sadd 3-2 in an exciting Round 3 match of 2025-2026 season QSL Cup at the Thani Bin Jassim Stadium of Al Gharafa club on Friday.

While Rafa Mujica got a brace for Al Sadd (21st and 63rd minutes), the goals for Al Markhiya were scored by S Salmane (36th minute) and Lucas Gabriel Firmo (42nd and 67th minutes).

The result took Al Markhiya’s points tally to four points, while Al Sadd remained on one point.

Al Markhiya had a goalless draw against Muaither in the first round and a 0-1 loss to Al Sailiya in the second round.

For Al Sadd, this was their second loss of the tournament after they went down 1-3 to Al Bidda in the second round. Al Sadd had a 3-3 draw against Al Gharafa in the first round.
