Muaither coach Nabil El Zhar and player Mohamed Rabie spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 season QSL Cup final match against Al Rayyan.
“Al Rayyan are one of the best teams, boasting high-calibre players. Facing them will undoubtedly require us to exert double the effort and give our absolute best to achieve the desired result and secure the victory and the championship cup. Muaither reaching the final was certainly not a stroke of luck. The team has proved its worth since the beginning of the tournament by delivering outstanding performances. I thank all players and commend the high spirit they have displayed.
“Without a doubt, playing in the QSL Cup final will be a strong motivator for us in the coming period, especially since we have lost hope of competing in the Second Division League to be promoted to Doha Bank Stars League next season. We hope that luck will be on our side in what lies ahead so that we can make our fans happy. The pressure will be greater on Al Rayyan players, while the incentives are for Al our players. Therefore, we will enter the match calmly and without pressure, and we will give our best,” said El Zhar.
Mohammed Rabie said, “We are ready to deliver a great performance against Al Rayyan and appear in the best possible form to achieve the desired goal of winning the title.
“Coach Nabil El Zhar has been doing a great job with the players since taking over the team, and this has translated into the team reaching the final.
“Al Rayyan are a big and strong team, and facing them will not be easy, but we will do our utmost to achieve our desired goal, which is the title, and to win the championship cup for the first time in the club’s history.”
