Al Waab and Mesaimeer played out a 1-1 draw in theiropening match of the 2025-2026 QSL Cup season at the Al Khor Stadium on Monday.

Al Waab opened the scoring through Ousseynou Gueye in the 14th minute before Youssef Dhaflaoui stepped up to the plate to restore parity from the spot in the 29th minute.

The two sides, both from the Second Division League, produced a thrilling encounter that showcased the thrills that have become renowned with the tournament over the years.

While Al Waab are yet to secure any win in all competition in the new season, Mesaimeer will be disappointed in sharing the spoils this time around after their victory in the league in the last fixture.
