QNB Stars League Week 6 review
The 2020-21 season QNB Stars League’s Week 6 matches, played on Saturday and Sunday, 21st and 22nd November, 2020, witnessed exciting games and results.
Al Ahli defeated Umm Salal 2-0, Qatar SC beat Al Wakrah 1-0, Al Khor drew goalless with Al Sailiya, Al Gharafa beat Al Duhail 3-0, Al Sadd got the better of Al Arabi 4-1 and Al Rayyan blanked Al Kharaitiyat 2-0.
A total of 13 goals were scored across the six matches.
The Al Duhail vs Al Gharafa and Al Arabi vs Al Sadd, dubbed the Qatar Derby, were the highlight games of the week.
Al Sadd stood on top of the standings with 16 points, followed by Al Ahli (15), Al Gharafa (12) and Al Rayyan (10) in that order, while reigning champions Al Duhail slipped from third to fifth place as they stood on nine points.
Al Rayyan jumped from sixth to fourth spot with the victory.
Qatar SC gained much ground as they climbed from the bottom of the table to eighth position with six points.
Al Sailiya improved from seventh to sixth spot with eight points, while Al Wakrah (seven points) slipped from fifth to seventh, Al Kharaitiyat (six points) from eighth to ninth, Al Arabi (five points) from ninth to 10th and Umm Salal (four points) from 10th to last.
Al Khor and Al Sailiya were locked in the only drawn encounter.
Six teams — Umm Salal, Al Wakrah, Al Khor, Al Sailiya, Al Duhail and Al Kharaitiyat — failed to score a goal.
