Al Shahania coach Santi Denia spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 2 match against Umm Salal.

“We watched Umm Salal in the previous match and worked on the fine details. They deserved a better result than they achieved against Al Gharafa.

“We are now focusing on the various phases of the game, from defence to attack, and on team play. Our goal is to perform better than we did in the previous match against Al Duhail and achieve a positive result,” said Santi Denia.

Al Shahania player Sven van Beek said, “We have a good idea about Umm Salal, who are doing a great job on the counterattack, so we have to be wary of them.

“We have a good team with good potential, and we proved that in the last match against Al Duhail. We have to continue to improve and perform well.”
