Al Rayyan coach Arthur Jorge spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 2 match against Al Shamal.

“We’ve worked hard this week to be better and to play with the same mentality and enthusiasm to secure the three points.

“This is our roster and I have great confidence in them to put in a great performance and win this important match. We have been working all week to ensure the team is physically ready and at the same strength for the entire 90 minutes of the match.

“I urge our fans to come to the stadium to cheer on the team. We saw that in the first match and we hope to see them again to secure the three points we desire,” said Arthur Jorge.

Al Rayyan player Andre Amaro said, “We know they are a tough team and we are ready to face them.

“Regarding facing my brother (Diogo) in the last match… It was a special match for me, especially since it was the first time I played against my brother officially. But the most important thing is to win the match and I wish him the best of luck this season.

“We know that Al Shamal are strong in attack, so we have to be prepared to face them.”
