Al Duhail and Al Arabi played out a 1-1 draw in Week 2 of 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Al Bayt Stadium on Saturday.

The first half ended goalless as both sides squandered promising opportunities, while resolute defending and alert goalkeeping ensured the deadlock remained intact.

Al Duhail eventually broke through in the 52nd minute when Lucas Silva Melo rose highest to head Edmilson Junior’s well-delivered corner from the centre of the box into the top right corner.

The goal sparked Al Arabi into action as they stepped up their search for an equaliser. Their efforts were rewarded in the 70th minute when Michael Olunga poked home with his left foot from close range after a rebound from a free-kick taken by substitute Oussama Tannane, who made an immediate impact after coming on.

Al Duhail had a chance to snatch victory with the final attempt of the match, but Ibrahima Bamba headed Edmilson’s corner too high and wide, allowing Al Arabi to hold on for a point.
