Al Ahli will face Lusail at Al Thumama Stadium in Week 2 of the 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League on Friday, August 28. The kick-off is at 5.15pm.

Both teams are looking to achieve a positive result and make up for their difficult start to the competition.

On the other hand, Lusail enter the match after a commendable performance in their historic debut in Doha Bank Stars League, despite losing to Al Rayyan 1-0. The team boasts a number of foreign professionals, most notably Spaniard Rodrigo Moreno, Iranians Omid Ebrahimi and Ali Nemati, and Argentinian Franco Russo – players on whom Lusail are relying to achieve their first positive result.
