Al Rayyan defeated Tadhamon Hadramout of Yemen 3-0 in Round 5, Group B of the 2025-2026 Gulf Club Champions League at the Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Stadium of Al Wakrah Stadium on Wednesday.

Rodrigo Moreno gave Al Rayyan an early opener in the fifth minute, nodding home an inch-perfect cross by Wesley Ribeiro.

Things turned from bad to worse for Tadhamon Hadramout in the 21st minute after they were reduced to 10 men, with Yazid Al Yazidi getting the marching orders for a tackle.

Aleksandar Mitrovic doubled the lead in the 62nd minute for The Lions before Mohamed Surag completed the job in the 72nd minute with a superb diving header from an overhead cross by Hazem Ahmed.

The result consolidates Al Rayyan’s lead in the standings with nine points from two wins and three draws, while Tadhamon are at the bottom of table with four points from a win and a draw.
