
Lekhwiya’s Yousef Msakni scored the first goal in the 20th minute, and then scored the second goal just before the end of the first half.
In the second half Iraq was able to score their first goal courtesy of Younis Mahmoud in the 60th minute , but then Lekhwiya replied with another goal when winger Ismael let rip in the 81st minute .
The match against Iraq was the Red Knights last friendly and now the squad will be focusing on the quarter final Asian Champions League clash against Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia on the 25th of August.
