Al Sadd will play a friendly against Mesaimeer this Friday, October 9 as part of their preparations for the Round 5 fixture against Qatar Sports Club on October 28.

Al Sadd already defeated Mesaimeer in Round 1 of the QSL (4-0). The team is continuing their training sessions in the absence of 10 international players who have joined up with their respective national teams.

The technical staff at Al Sadd said that they are keen to intensify training in order to attain the highest level of physical and technical readiness before the resumption the league.

Al Sadd has also received a major blow with the injury to their first team goalkeeper - Saad Al Dossari. The Qatari keeper will be away from the action for up to six weeks after suffering an injury to his left hamstring during his team’s game against Al Ahli in Round 4 of the QSL.

Al Dossari underwent medical tests in Aspetar Hospital on Tuesday morning which confirmed his injury and the need for treatment as well as rehabilitation.
