<p>Al Gharafa’s attacking midfielder Vladimir Weiss underwent a surgery to correct the cruciate ligament of his knee at Qatar’s orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital Aspetar.</p><p>The Slovak suffered the injury towards the end of first half during their 3-1 victory over Al Arabi in Week 10 of the QNB Stars League and had to be stretchered off the field.</p><p>He has been ruled out for the rest of the season.</p><p>Al Gharafa Football Head Mahmoud Al Ghazal, Marketing Manager Jassim Al Qureshi as well as officials Ahmad Faisal and Fahad Ali visited Weiss to wish him a speedy recovery. A number of players too wished him well.</p><p>Weiss had a productive stint with erstwhile Lekhwiya before he joined Al Gharafa in 2016. He is also a key member of the Slovakia national team.</p>
